Choosing the right base, which is best for you? There are 2 different base options on our planters:
- Solid 2" thick, pressure treated wood.
- Semi-permeable membrane.
We would suggest a membrane base for all planters, unless:
- Your planter is sitting on decking. The solid base will reduce the stress on the decking and preserve its lifespan.
- You wish to move the planter when full of soil.
- You wish to place the planter on feet, or you want to make it sit level on uneven ground. (Particularly important for benches)
